23 postings and no took the time to measure the original barrel - really?

2 Leshiy Classics, 3 barrels measurements 11.980 to 11.985, no barrel creep with any of them at 130 Bar in .177

11.980 mm = 0.4716521 inch

11.985 mm = 0.471849

Ok, sorry guys. Our kids came in to town for Christmas and I haven’t been on the internet at all. Reading through the last few posts, I am concerned that I didn’t get an original barrel. It is super easy to push in and is under 0.471” according to my calipers (not the greatest calipers, though).

You will have to get hold of a proper micrometer to get the exact measurement, may also be useful to PM AGN member ibc_PSI to lean if he had any problem keeping his 0.466 inch Ukraine barrel in place

Ok, thanks for the info. I plan to shoot it some since I have cranked the screws down and see if it stays in place.

Yeah, just snug them up real good and you will be good. There is a video with a well known dealer who shows a barrel change on one. He says snug and then a half of a turn. Do not do that. You do need to tighten them screws up. Just not over tight. Had the issue with mine when I switched to a .177 barrel.

If you do not want or can't machine a slot in it where the screws touch, or file it, simply mark the spot and lightly drill a shallow dimple in each spot for the screws. As it is deeper than the surface, eve a not as tight screw will then hole. Use a removeable type thread sealant such as loc-tite purpel ir vribra tite. They are is easily removed.

I mill all of mine with a shallow slot just wide enough for the screw to seat in without movement, even if loose. .

The two screws under the barrel just pinches the frame around the barrel, do not touch the barrel
