EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

Hey everyone: in the morning I’m flying to the USA tomorrow. I’m bringing my pressure tester and the complete set of jets I ordered from Brian.

Depending on next month or so I am at a minimum order a 22 cal barrel, maybe a 25 cal and sell the 177 cal along with its four magazines.

So what this translates into expect some jets to become available. And I’m going to give some away.

DON’T ask me for the NOW about the jets, I’m going to do a raffle. I’ll pay for the shipping and I feel like sharing, this why I’m doing this. Most likely it will be the jets for 30 cal.

And if you live in East Idaho and want to borrow the pressure tester let me know.

There’s one in the classifieds.

The backlog is closing. The one in the classifieds is something like $300 over what dealers are offering them for. I predict that any buyer will be kicking themselves in a few short weeks...

I made some changes to my L2 over the weekend. Fixed a leak, increased the reg pressure from 130 to 155 BAR with the reg tester, Switched out the factory jets/nozzles to 2x .20mm, changed out the .25/250mm barrel to a .30/350mm, mounted the Valkyrie CF Handguard, added the Huma MOD40 Moderator, installed the 300cc bottle, attached a picatinny rail for my bipod, and changed out the scope mount to the LaRue LT111. The other LaRue scope mount I previously used did not clear the valve housing when the L2 is folded.

I also grinded off the screws and attachment plate on a BCM MLOK picatinny rail to clear the MOD40 moderator so it doesn't scratch it up when attaching or reattaching the moderator.

That’s one bad a$$ looking Leshiy 2 setup!

For those getting their order. Brian posted this great video on what to do when you get your L2.

Maybe he did get the latest shipment from Ed and is working through his backlog now. Let’s hope us order 12xx is in this batch.

Some more data points. Did some 50 yard testing with 600mm .30 Barrell Turned to Max settings (160 Bar) and one 0.2 Valve.

I also have the bigger plenum on the gun. Results were disappointing. Intended on trying some at 75 yards but was too dissatisfied with the results to go beyond 50 yards. Here is a look at the setup. Should be minimal human induced error and the groupings were far worse than what I typically induce at this range with this setup. I have maybe 100ish shots on the 600mm barrell I go it last week.

The goal was to get a accurate high power slug I could use for hunting. Given some people success with the 47.2 NSA I tried this. Also tried FX Hybrid Slugs. I shot 8 shot groups and threw out the worst one. Was unhappy with them both being about 1.5" groups at 50 yards. I changed the silencer in case I was inducing some turbulence with the carbon fiber one I was using. Results were basically the same maybe slightly better. At these disappointing results I decided to try the 44.75gr and 50.15gr JSB Pellets. The 44.75 gr had 2 terrible fliers in the 8 shot group that gave it a 5.5" group. Even removing those it was still over an inch. The 50.15 gr JSB by far performed the best although it wasnt anything super spectacular. All 8 of 8 shots in 0.9" grouping. Below are pictures of the groupings and the FPS of the pellets.

In Summary, I realize was shooting pellets faster than there ideal velocity but typically doesn't effect them too much up to 50 yards (its 75 and 100 it becomes problematic). The slugs did not perform well either. In trying to guess what might cause this I can only thing of a few things. The adaptor to silencer (unlikely), The new Barrell (possible), Platform itself just isn't that capable, max power settings pushing the platform to inaccuracies. I had only 1 clip/magazine I could use in .30 cal as I ordered 3 but Brian accidently only sent 1 so I couldn't see if it was possibly a "clipism". Wondering if anyone has any other guesses. I thought I heard someone on here say you can fit and use an FX Barrell in these but might have to do something? I have the STX Superior and STX Superior Heavy (Slug) liner in .30 Cal at 700mm. If someone can give input if there's anything special they did to use these would be happy to try these 2 barrels as well and post my results.
