If your interest is in having your young ones learn gun handling, manipulating and shooting. Then power is not so important. At your stated price point maybe consider the Brocock Atomic or Ranger? Not as powerful as the others but they are robust, sweet mini carbines.

The great thing about getting top shelf stuff for your offspring, I have found, is you get to use it if they get bored or outgrow it. Might as well get the best if you can do it without getting a second mortgage.

Sell a kidney instead of mortgaging the house. Just don’t sell your own kidney.

I have an 11 year old grandson and he has shot my Impact, LC19, L2, and a few others. The L2 is by far his favorite. Size fits him well and simiauto is high in the fun meter. I would recommend you go with the short version vs the Valkyrie configuration for ease of holding.
