I recently bought a Ed Gun Leshiy 2 250 mm .177 cal.. I’m shooting 10.34 JSBs. The gun came shooting 910s, I have tried it set to 850s and 950s. It shoots 1.5 to 2.0 inch groups in all settings at 35 yards. I want 1.0 inch. Is this asking to much for this short barrel? I have two FX and two Daystate guns all will shoot moa or better at 50 yards. I watched lot of vids before I bought this gun and they all stacked pellet’s.

Thanks for your help

Dale

i don't really know what you should expect, or if those expectations are realistic.i didn't personally expect the semi to perform as well as a "bolt" gun.

do you shoot sub moa yourself with other guns? have you tried single loading pellets into the barrel to see what sort of groups you get?

while this test defeats the joy of the auto-advancing mechanism, it might tell you that the jump (from the magazine) is affecting your groups.

Please Don’t comment if you don’t have any experience with the Leshiy 2. The Leshiy 2 is very capable of sub 1” groups at 35 yards. Just as any bolt gun or springer you need to find the right pellet or slug that your barrel likes and tune the valve dwell and pellet speed just as any other PCP gun. I don’t have any experience with it in .117 but hopefully some one out there who does will chime in. You might want to search the EdGun Leshiy Facebook pages for information and ask for help there too. A lot of sub 12 guys with .117 guns on there. Do your homework and watch all the videos on the Leshiy on the proper setup and adjustments on UTube and EdGun West website. Some guns need to be shot a few hundred times to settle in the regulator and barrel. My .22 barrel prefers H&N barracuda’s larger head size over JSB’s and really doesn’t like the Hades at any speeds but I hear the .25 barrels shoot JSB’s and Hades well. Then there is that trigger that takes a while to get used to. I Also find I shoot better groups with a scope power of at least 10 or 12 power at 35 yards.

I can do 1/2" at 50 yards with my Leshiy 2 and the right .22 ammo. So it's not the gun, but it is the caliber.

I tried a .177 250mm barrel and I've never shot a worse POS except for maybe a Diana Bandit. IMHO the Leshiy 2 is too powerful for .177 or something. I tried JSB, H&N, Crosman - 8gr through 16gr, nothing shot well. I think I dumped the barrel and mags in the garbage as they were so bad I wouldn't feel right selling it to someone else.

assume you mean me. sorry to offend.

my personal example is .22 350mm, so i could not personally attest to what he should expect, nor do i know how he is shooting and in what sort of conditions. i can say (but wasn't asked) what i have learned to expect from my rifle and scope, and me shooting, but i don't think that was the question.

my .22 likes the HN Barracuda 18 pellets as well, although i really haven't tried to shoot groups head to head against the JSBs.

anyway, i would check for loose scope or mount, make sure there is no parallax issue...things i am assuming he did already.

What do you have on the barrel?

If you have the stock shroud, other than fiddling with the pellet types, you can also try putting in a baffle that has a muzzle brake, like one of these: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5165959

You can also play around with the jetting and regulator setting. Shorter dwell times really help on the small calibres.

My Leshiy 2 came with jetting for the .30 cal, even though it was otherwise configured as a .22.

Is there a ".117" air gun / caliber? I've heard this before from the Skout guys.. I've never heard of this...

I find the JSB Heavy's to group OK at 850 but not faster than that, JSB Hades on the other hand goes all over the place

Ed said long time ago L2 likes the heavier pellets and my two versions seem to agree, the JSB Monster Redesigned and JSB Beast performs the best in my guns, my favorite pellet for the 250mm version is the Monster Red. and for the 350mm the JSB Beast

here's a mix of targets shot at 34 yards, 1 mag per target but a single one with 2 mags, standing with support, some of them with Holosun red dot and some of them with scope

average CC for all target = 16.36mm/0.644inch or 1.84MOA

sorry about the image quality, my Photo-Fu is weak...
