Ed from Edgun shows off his air rifles from his Dacha in Russia

"FunGun"Are we going to get the side cocking and .25 versions of the R5, R5M here in the USA?
I asked that to Brian from Edgunwest:That gun is called the R5M. It most likely will be available after IWA (March). It will be initially offered in 22 & 25 caliber on the first run with .177 available in the summer.
There are no plans to make a magazine version of the .30 caliber.
Thanks for the inquiryBrian

"CampFussell"Oh man, that R5M with the mid side lever is gonna be a game changer.
Why? other guns have had that for years
Well basically because Edgun has stuck with the bolt all these years and he's finally catching up with the times with the side lever, and a mid lever at that. I know the Vulcan and others have had the lever, but this a first for Edgun. Lot's of folks that prefer the lever have bought Crickets, and Vulcans, and Taipans, and Wilcats etc.

I'm a big big Cricket fan, but now that Edgun has the side lever, like I say it's a game changer for me! I might just have to have one.

I only have 3 brands of PCP air rifles FX, Hatsan and Edgun. They are all decent shooters for what they were designed for. The big downside on the Hatsan is that they make a heavy gun, good for bench shooting but not a favorite to carry in the field unless I was clubbing baby seals. The FX an excellent shooter and all around rifle with the most convenient adjustments at hand. My Edgun’s, I really like the way they shoot great on the bench or in the field. But what puts the Edgun in a class of their own is a company owner and US distributors who are willing and able to show customers how to make their Edguns perform in the manner they desire. They offer many videos on making adjustments and repairs on the guns were other manufacturers tell you how you will violate the warranty if you do this or that. When I need to do something on my FX or Hatsan I look at the many YouTube videos on the subject and have to guess out which one is correct, sometimes other bloggers have a solution that works sometimes not. With Edgun you are getting the info needed from the horses mouth. The R5m will be my next purchase not sure yet what caliber I will get I will wait for others to post info on their performance and then decide.

I simply do not care for bullpup's, very nice seeing new ideas tho and they do seem popular with many peopkle.
Video's being somewhat new to me I "surfed" on over to edgunwest ( I thinkm) and saw a video of the new ( smart ) airg guage, it seems really outstanding and potentially a very usful tuning tool, I think,.

Has anyone here used this electronic air gauge? Happy? Other?
