Just go to youtube and look up ec-3000 top end repair. You can't miss it , It's very top line and valve in the top of the cylinder you will have to remove . Sorry I tried to post the link but could not.

When I removed the valve from the top end , I found that there was very little debre in the top of the cylinder but wiped it with a cotton swab but the real problem was the little round disc had separated from the valve. I put a dab of silicone grease on my finger and touched the disc and was able to retrieve it and wipe clean lube it slightly, put it back to the bottom of the valve after a good cleaning.

Thanks for your email – sometimes the disc is on the brass valve housing, and sometimes you will find it in the top of the cylinder depending on whether the compressor stopped on the up stroke or down stroke.
This is nothing to be worried about.
Just carefully retrieve the disc from the cylinder and place it back into the circular recess in the brass valve housing before re-assembling. This is a response from Hill.

From the multiple uploaded Hill videos, I assume that the Hill is user serviceable, including not voiding the warranty if work is accordingly.
