EBR Target Challenge

It finally stopped raining every day. And I finally got good paper, printed the target out the right size, got my Crown sorted out(long story, but found some of the internal screws around HS and valve adjuster had gotten loose), and made time to shoot. I still don't have a scope good enough to see all the pellet holes clearly yet either. I need to fix that.

18g JSB @ 872fps

FX Crown 380mm barrel

0 to 2mph wind

This was my second try today with my RW 22 HP. First try was only a 217 with EXTREMELY tricky wind. Don't think I held the same place twice and held 360 degrees around the bull and by as much as 1.5 mil. 2 to 10 mph and switching constantly. On this one it was about 2 to 6 mph and had a few intervals where I held the same for a couple of shots. My last 2 were 8s 😟

Fun stuff but definitely difficult. Thanks Mike... for the game.

Found some good target paper to use on Amazon.com. Its 110# paper card stock, and comes in 250 page packs for $9.98. Works like a champ.

Just ordered some on Amazon. I think I might be paying $40-$50 bucks for around 150 110lb card stock targets which I normally have printed at the local Office Depot. Not anymore, thanks Mike. I might even dump my old HP black and white laser printer and treat myself to a nice color laser for my new Amazon card stock.

Talk about a hobby with an unending req’t for $$$$.

I'm much more impressed by seeing that target than I was just hearing about it. Good shooting!

Thanks RB and Centercut. It was QUITE difficult conditions in the beginning but eased up somewhat in the second try. On the first attempt, I was literally holding a mil left and low, then a mil right and high on the next shot, just trying to get in the 9 ring. It was switching second by second.

This was first attempt with 25 cal Hades in the Safari at 905. They were WAY better than the Kings in these conditions.

I notice that quite a few .22 cal shooters seem to be selective about using .22 cal slugs. Saw the JSB Knockout targets and results, but I do wonder why there aren’t more of the high end shooters shooting the slugs?

Do the forthcoming 100 yard BR tournaments allow slugs, or are the pellets just that good? I realize the RDs are great, but just curious.
