Ebay tanks/fill stations

CE certs, or any certs for that matter, are worthless on no-name chinese junk. These companies lie about certs all the time. They will literally just print a fake cert mark on the item, and there is little any governing body can do to stop them. If you ever NEED something to be certified for safety (like with HPA bottles), simply don't buy chinese no-name junk. Not worth it.

Oh stop it. Look at the listing, in the upper left hand corner there is an USA flag. That clearly means that this seller can completely and wholeheartedly be trusted to provide a quality product. That flag is there to assure Americans and others the quality of workmanship of this non-DOT PRC communist produced item. Most certainly the CE label is upheld to the most strict of standards with testing and more. :p

Also just a random FYI but the brass colored QC female ends never are the right diamater and fail to fit the male QC nipples. You can just sand down the male nipples and it's totally gonna fit just fine. Pay no attention to the metal you're removing to reduce the OD to fit the ID of the incorrect QC. You saved money :)

Hi All,

FWIW, we all in some way select our level of safety (if that is a good word for it). For myself when I got into PCPs I decided I didn't want to have "He saved $20" on my tombstone if it can be avoided. (Promised my better 1/2 I'd not leave too soon!) My level of safety was any pressure vessel would be certified by a trustworthy organization and be in current certification. Air tanks, filter bodies on the compressor, and airgun bottles if need be. I figured a failed hose I might survive. A failed pressure vessel maybe not.

The above is not a trivial chore. I've a Bauer Capitano II with a filter body with 12 years on it. Bauer says 15 years tops. About $1600 to replace. Kills me that the compressor doesn't have 100 hours on it! Heck I didn't pay that much for my 6 year old Bauer Jr as that filter body will cost me!

Decide what you feel comfortable with for safety. Much of the domestic pressure vessels have a substantial safety factor. I've no idea what margins the overseas stuff might have.

Stay safe,

Nugria
