How does everyone else torque this type of wing nut? (not sure of the name)

I went the easier way and took off a hex nut off another set of rings.

But I'm curious how I'm suppose to torque the wing nut. I used this type of rings on other guns before but I would use a small allen wrench and insert it into the small holes and just guess the torque by feel.

You can insert an allen key in the holes in the wing nut and use as leverage

Since it is made to remove the scope quickly I would just go hand tight...

I just go hand tight on the EV design. I have not had any issues with doing that.

As both cosmic and triggertreat say. I do the same on both my EV rings, hand tight. Never had a POI problem. So much so that I have taken the scope off my Maverick and put it on the Wildcat MK3 and it is still within .1 Mill
