Duracoat Impact project

Kinda flashy, little over the top but i think it turned out good. Didn't want to do any parts that were laser etched. Not going to use it for a week or two to let it cure but its back together and holding air.

Basically ran out towards the end, so i might order a bit more. Some places ended up a bit thin. Some VERY tricky pieces to coat.

Very nice GC. The combination of black, gold, brass and wood look great. Not over the top at all. Great idea of keeping track of where the screws go as well. A+ to ya for taking it on and sharing.

I am going to guess that your Impact is totally dialed in and shooting great. We generally don’t start pimping a gun until we run out of things to do to it. It’s a wonderful situation to be in. It looks great.

When I used silver Duracoat on mine, I caught some flak from a few guys on Facebook groups. They said, I ruined my gun by painting it. I told them, it’s a good thing it’s my gun and not yours then! 

I like guns that stand out and people that aren’t afraid to customize them.

I really love the brass and wood look too, they go great together. It’s an awesome looking Impact, I think it’s in the top 3 customized Impacts that I’ve seen thus far.

Good guess its been a steady evolution, yeah ive had it about 16 months or so and around 10k shots and its been very reliable and versatile. Thanks very much.
