Sounds like they need to specify the male and female ends to prevent shock and lawsuits...but since the terms male and female are culturally antiquated now and everything is relative, f it, just keep it real simple Jack and see what happens.

I read it once and I understand it. Maybe the dumb one is the one reading it multiple times? Lol. It means what it says. Plug it into the compressor first, then plug into the wall. How hard is it to understand that? I thought these nomad comes with the power cord already attached. Then just plug into the wall if that is the case. Someone trying turn a small thing into something big. Lmao

The Nonad II comes with a separate power cord - not permanently connected to the compressor. The cord has a 3 prong male plug end for plugging into a 110/220 outlet, and a female plug end for plugging into the 3 prong receptacle on the compressor. Obviously it is safer to plug the female end into the compressor first, then plug the male 3 prong end into the wall outlet.

This is not a switched connection, so the power cable is "live" when plugged into the wall outlet and immediately supplies power when plugged into the compressor. Therefore, it is first plugged into the compressor - then the wall outlet to supply power when plugged in. To turn completely off, you must unplug from wall - no switch as stated.

I need to know exactly what magic happens between the last sentence of step 1, and step 2. Otherwise how does one know he (or she) is, in fact, on step 2 where it is ok to plug the 3 prong into the wall or still on step 1 where it is not ok to plug in the 3 prong

It doesn't have an attached power cable. It uses a computer style extension cord.

 You job is to not think ,but to do.=step one then step 2...plug cord into machine,then plug the other end into the Wall! 

Reason,.because it says so....ok sorry,if you plug it into the Wall first then it is a Live connection when plugging it into your machine,Lets just say your machine is a ground that way it is safer to then plug it into the Wall. Look at it this way,the machine is a ground..you do it the other way you may become the ground.....so there think ground is the magic.

If you are having trouble comprehending these instructions please never get involved in back feeding from a portable generator to a main panel on a house. Like some others here I understood what was trying to be conveyed.
