plans or ideas, anybody got any?
My boys and I want to make a couple of dueling trees to keep shooting exciting and interactive at our home range. We’d like the steel targets to be 1/2”, 3/4”, 1”, 1 1/2” and 2” (x2) and be able to swing back and forth when hit. I can come up with something for the post that the targets swing on and attach the round targets to a pipe for the targets to rotate around the main post on. However, I don’t have welding equipment or cutting equipment to make the actual, round targets. I’m looking for suggestions for something durable we can use. I’m sure I can find someone local to cut the targets if necessary and even weld them but that might get expensive. Looking for cheap alternatives first, before I go that route. If I had the round targets, I’m sure I could get it from there. So, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If anybody is a good welder and would be willing to cut the circles, weld them to a tab and then the tab to a section of pipe, I would be willing to pay for your services. I’ve seen some ideas on line but nothing that really works for our idea. Someone once posted ideas for some small round targets that they made but I did a search on AGN and couldn’t find anything.
