Dry firing

I've been drying firing my Streamline for over a year with no issues. And with the Crown for a few months. Now I'm not talking about unnecessary dry firing, but maybe a couple of shots per day, normally only after filling with air. Reason being the reg pressure is normally up by 2 - 5 bar and after burning a shot it's back to where it should be.

Normally when I burn a shot with the SL, I drop the power wheel to Mid. With the Crown, I just back off the HS tension 2 steps.

I've never had a problem with either gun.

I personally would not use dry fire to empty a gun of air, way below working pressure. That could damage the valve, as there will be litle oposing force of air when the hammer strikes. Dry firing a pcp with normal working pressure, usually does not harm anything. To never dryfire at all, usually comes form spring guns, which are quiet different than pcp`s.
