FX DRS Accuracy

Tried a half dozen different H&N’s and a half dozen JSB’s in my new DRS .22 w/600mm tube. At 50 yard, best group was 1.5” from bench rest.
Was hoping form much much better groups, what do I need to do to improve, and in what order?
HELP!

Have you run it through chrony? Exactly WHICH pellets have you tried? 18.13gr JSB should be your starting point. Those work well in most .22's & gun is capable of better @ 50 yards.

1) What is your average muzzle velocity?
2) How consistent is your muzzle velocity (DRS's are known to have the first, 2nd or 3rd shots run low after sitting a bit)?
3) Are you using a moderator? Which one and what size (caliber)? Since the DRS's have no shroud extending past the end of the barrel, I have found them to be more impacted by different moderators than shrouded barrel guns. Since the mod needs to be able to strip larger air volumes without causing turbulence.
4) How many shots are you trying to get per fill?
5) Standard, base configuration or ? Small or SHP plenum?

As mentioned by Gerry52 above, the gun should do really well with JSB or FX 18.13's. Mine liked those at up to 916 fps although after adding a SHP I tuned it down to 875 fps for a higher shot count. I had also purchased this gun used, and its accuracy was not very good when I received it from UA. Nor was the shot-to-shot consistency. Returned to UA for repair, and they replaced both the reg and the valve. Has been a stellar shooter since then (although the first shot or 2 are still low after sitting, refilling, etc.).

Like @TMH, I had to replace the reg and the valve - which they sent me and I did the work as it is an easy gun to work on. I also added the SHP like @TMH and also put on a reg guage so I could see the shot pressure. That's what led nme to ask them about the reg and valve as the pressure was very inconsistant and I could tell via the guage. Once changed, the gun has been suprisingly accurate. It likes the FX/RMR 22g (1034fps) and really like the H&N 33g precise slugs (1014fps). I do have the 700mm barrel on mine. I do have the FX "first shot different" problem but I get around it by shooting the gun off before a hunt or target work (cold bore shot )

My .22 cal 600 mm DRS with the small plenum shoots the JSB 20,83 "Monster Light" @850 and is extremely accurate at 50 yards . It seems to get about 40 shots before falling off the reg . The barrel does like to be kept clean . After 150 - 200 shots , I pull a couple dry patches through .

My DRS 600 mm .22 Cal and with super powerfull plenum is EXTREMELY accurate with NSA 25 grain slugs. Even at 200 yards.

What, if any, modifications, other than the SHP, have you made? Barrel polishing, glass bending, tuning, anything else??

He was in charge of sending me a superb rifle..... And he delivered !!
