Tuning Dreamline Not Cocking at Times

Recently my FX Dreamline Tac Compact started to not cock at times. I recently noticed this when trying to get a lower power tune with lower hammer settings. I am not sure if the lower hammer settings were the problem as it happens sometimes too at higher settings too. The thing is if before cocking if I pull the trigger all the way back then release it will then subsequently cock. I am assuming I need some more spring tension on the trigger but which screw would I adjust if that is the problem. Bill

I’m no expert but I do know my way around Airguns a Little.Sometimes that can happen if the trigger is adjusted to light and The sear will not engage properly.Maybe you could check that out if you haven’t already done so.Either that or maybe the edges are a little worn where the sear and hammer engage.Sometimes it’s just the simple things that you can overlook that can cause problems. That’s the way it usually is for me anyway.

I don't think it's the trigger weight adjustment, which is the larger one in the rear. If you don't feel a well defined first stage, then the first stage travel, front screw, might need to be backed out a little. If it's screwed in too much, in effect creating a single stage pull, then the trigger wheel might not be engaging the sear, which could cause the condition you describe.

Thanks for the advice. That sounds like that might be the problem. I will try your advice. Bill
