Tuning Dreamline FX barrel air leak

Hi all 

My Dreamline Classic 22 leaks trough the barrel. As from experience with my impacts I inspected and cleaned the valve pin and the seat several times today. Couldn’t see anything wrong with it. still leaks . 

What else could cause the air to leak trough the barrel on the dreamline . Thank you

Check the valve seat for crack on the back side (hammer side). Dreamlines have had issues with valve seat cracking.

Thank you for the reply. I couldn’t find any crack during inspection. But it still might an invisible one. I placed a order on a new valve seat and pin from Bagnall and kirkwood. Was just thinking if you guys might knew if other things could cause this leak

If you cant figure it out today I would call the techs at FX USA.. I think you can find their number on Google.. but they have sat down with me (persay) and gone through my gun to help me figure out what was going on with my gun. Idk where you are but if you still cant figure it out Ken Hicks seems to be the go to man from the reviews I have seen

The early Dreamlines had problems with the valve. FX replaced mine under warranty.

Could be dust or debris I would try cleaning and using some divers grease and shoot the hell out of it.

My Dreamline did the same thing. FX tech told me to check if the valve holder was loose. When you remove the air tube, it’s the brass cap inside where the air tube screws in. Mine was loose, tightened it with hex and leak fixed. FX tech said they sometimes vibrate loose. He recommended a drop of non-permanent loc-tote. I didn’t do that. Hope that helps!

If yours has an air tube and not a bottle it’s Part #8. Remove air tube, look into the space you unscrewed the air tube from (the threaded end). You’ll see a round cap (brass looking) at the bottom with a hex hole in it. Check it with a hex wrench to see if it’s loose.

Mine was doing the same thing. The Valve Screw #8 backed out and then it damaged the Delrin piece #12. I ordered a valve complete and seat ($36) and followed the video below. All is great now
