Hello all,
I am moving to the family farm this weekend. I have an Air Arms 510 and Brocock Ranger, and really enjoy them. Having spent a little more time at the farm getting ready to move, it is always breezy, and often windy. It is flat as a pancake there, not far from Lake Michigan, and there are very few windbreaks. I am thinking I will want something with more oomph if I want to reliably have a chance to shoot English sparrows and starlings. I do have three or four unopened tins of .22 JSB Monster Redesigned, the 25.39 grain pellets, but I sold the gun I bought them for a while back.
What does it take to get an FX Dreamline shooting the .22 Monsters at the recommended speed: around 950 fps?
Does it require a 600mm barrel, or will 500mm do the job?
Does the Smooth Twist X-liner shoot these well, or is the heavy liner needed?
Is the power plenum needed? This one seems like a good idea even if not needed, as it might help with reg. creep.
Thank you,
-pg
