Dreamline and Streamline shroud differences?

New to the forum, apologize if this is in the wrong place for this topic.

I have a FX Dream Lite and a friend has a FX Streamline. In comparing the 2 it appears the air tanks are the same as far as diameter, and the barrels are very very close in diameter The spacing between the air tank and the barrel appears to be about a 1 mm difference... give or take. The streamline shroud appears to be anodized where as the Dream Lite is a baked on coating. This could be the slight difference in the barrel diameter. I have seen a barrel band being sold that fits both, advertised as for the Dreamline and Streamline. However, based on my observations the barrel band would either push the barrel of the Dreamlite up, or pull the barrel of the Streamline down. It would also not fit over the Dreamlite, if it fit tight on the Streamline.

My question are as follows:

Did they make changes along the way to the streamline shroud, size, coating, etc?

Did they make any other changes to the Streamline throughout its manufacturing history in relation to the air tank or the shroud?

Are all the shrouds of the Streamline anodized?

I have streamlines and a dreamline classic and the barrel bands can be used on either rifle without any problems...the streamline shrouds is black but I not sure it anodized,my 22 streamline shroud id slightly larger in diameter and some bands fit it tight.i use the FX band now on all three rifles...

The FX barrel band your using is that the aluminum one with the grub screws and o-ring?

yes that is the FX barrel band.it is held on by two grub screws with little rubber stoppers placed in first.i am going to check on 4mm soft tipped grub screws...
