So I got the Dr Bobs bottle clamp in today, from Best Fittings, and its just heavy duty 60mm clamp with a coating on it. Works like a charm though, but probably could have made it for 10 bucks and some rubber tool dip. The sling stud is square instead of round so I had to slightly round the corners off to fit in the Stud adapter. You know, square peg in a round hole. All in all its real solid and stable. Cant wait to get in the field to test it.
Leapers Heavy Duty Recon 360, This thing is built like a tank and there is no play what so ever in the one I received. Locks up tight and positive at different angle, and is just the right height for what I have in mind. The Sling stud mount has another stud on it so I can add a sling with no issues. Again, Time will tell on how sturdy it is. So far its tighter than my Harris. The only issue I have is the cant tightening screws are to small. You need a shorty screw driver to tighten them. The cant rotation is nice and smooth with a lot of adjustment. It locks up nice and tight if you want a solid platform.
