download target paper

yesterday i posted in Target Challenges about printing targets . I now use 60 to 65 pound card stock (lightest weight ) and most printers will handle this weight.
you get nice clean holes from wadcutters as pictured , I will shoot some domed pellets today on the same target .Staples

I did say your holes look better then my same type paper , but did not think about wads used .. looks good.

All i could get here was colored, but the red , blue / dark paper is not so good for easy to see print as you go out far .. yellow nice , green fine , but outside the yellow best off finding all white .

Anyway i like it.

👍

I was about to start a new post on this topic when this thread bobbed up. What prompted me was watching one of Big Dan's Youtube reviews -- of the Cometa Fenix .25, to be specific -- and here he takes the time and effort to put together a lot of great information but then shoots his targets on thin paper with flimsy backing. It just totally distracts from the rest of his content.
I'll get a hold of some of the card stock Beerthief specifies, but admit my copy-paper targets taped to a firm cardboard surface give a decent account of the pellet strikes. My pellet trap is simply a USPS flat-rate box filled with rubber mulch from Walmart. Works pretty darned well and beats the heck out of the old days messing with duct seal!
Here's that review I was talking about:
