Dovetail to picatinny adapter

I have a handful of these, and they work flawlessly!

Lowest profile adapter available. 

Note the negative reviews are all related to 11 mm rail slots without flat tops. That is pretty common with break barrel airguns. Use a different adapter or modify these for clearance in those cases.

The inexpensive ones have always worked fine for me once they're securely tightened.

I read in a recent thread about these that the way to install & tighten them is to

- fit the adapter into the picatinney rail

- position the adapeter & picatinney rail on the gun's dovetail

- tighten down using the picatinney rail screws, which compresses the adapter against the dovetail.



Is that the correct ( and best) way to make a secure attachment

Hi,

I've used the UTG Drooper Scope Rail, 11mm Dovetail To Weaver Adapter if you can stand the height. I've never run out of "down" adjusting a scope. I have run out of "up" until I started using these (except for the Edguns & Taipans so far).

On the PCP guns w/magazines, I've cut the middle out of the mount to clear the magazine. You just maintain the correct OAL of the original adapter so the droop doesn't take a zig-zag.

Seems to be the best way. They are spring loaded to stay open inside the Picatinny mounts until tightened. They work extremely well when needed-I have multiple sets in use.

I like the Hawke Picatinny adapters since they seem to stay centered over the bore.

The Hawke link indicates the adapter fits a 3/8" dovetail rail (.3725")

Does it open wide enough to make it on an 11mm rail? (.4330")
