Dovetail elevation dilemma

Ok I have a Steyr Hunting 5 Auto and it has dovetails for mounting a scope. I have a scope fitted already but I am winding the elevation max on the scope and she ain’t even in the picture at 100 yards. So my question is are there a dovetail option to get some more moa elevation? Or must I get a picatinny rail adapter? Which do you guys recommend? Thx!

Did you optically center the scope before mounting it? Have you tried putting a shim on the rear scope ring. Do a search in this forum and type in "here's my scope mounting video" done by our very own resident scope mounting expert … may help … may not … but won't hurt to take it through the steps. Of course it would be nice to have a rail that had 20 moa built into the system, but not every manufacturer does that.
