Double the pleasure

Stopped at AGS. Got real lucky today. Picked up a R7 .177 and a HW50S .22 

 Beech stocks the one looks like 1/4 cut oak. 

 These guns feel great to hold compared to 77’s 97’s a

nd 80’s. The HW50 is definitely a gun for the woods. 

 New stock is cut away helping to make this a lite weight.

 Wish I could keep the steel sights, should be wishing for better eyes. Hopefully I‘ll scope them out tonite. Looking forward to playing with these. Crow

Nice snags Don't have a 50 but I did just get an R7 .177 gently used from a fellow member of another forum to go with the older one in .20 I already have and no complaints. 

Hawke Airmax 3-9x40 in Hawke medium mounts and while I didn't have to take the open sights off, doing it made things look smoother and gave me an excuse to break out the ARH muzzle break I've been sitting on for over a year while I tried to decide what to do with it.

The muzzle break gives nite and day difference. Sweet

I have to get some muzzle breaks. I always take off the iron sights, they would also hide the V-grove. Crow

Nice! I'd like to try a .22 HW50 some time. I stopped hunting with air guns and got away from "magnum mania" years ago. Even though I am still R1lover and own 3 of them, they just seem so unnecessary for me anymore. I've come to love the low to medium powered springers. Enjoy yours! They're beaut's.

Actually triple pleasure today. Just sold my favourite all time toys this afternoon. My excavator and dump truck. Had them for three yrs. Bought them when I retired. Finished with them, now more for the Springers. Crow

You are definitely going to enjoy carrying either of those anywhere when compared to the fixed barrel 97 or 77…True sporters meant for the field.

Mike, you are right on the money. I once took a HW90 into the bush. Not only did I need a rescue team to carry out my rifle out, I needed a medical team t replace my shoulder. Crow

G’day Crow glad to see you joined the Hw50S club. I absolutely love mine and in 22 cal. It is very accurate with the FTT Green 9.56 gr or the Baracuda Green 12.65 pellets. Greatest distance I’ve shot my 22 Hw50S is about 40 metres and below is a picture of three shots at I recall 36 metres. Not cherry picked straight out of the safe the only thing I had to do was after each shot walk down and stand the tin up again. Some people complain the alloy pellets are expensive but that doesn’t worry me also you can afford them after selling your machinery.

I had a Hw30 but it was a lemon so I upgraded to the Hw50S and I’m very happy that I did. Enjoy your new two acquisitions.
