I’ve been waiting for the Nielson 17.5 grain slugs to arrive and a trip to the mailbox yesterday had me running back home to sight in the Taipan. It didn’t take long and I was shooting MOG (Minute of Gopher) groups at 30 and 50 yards. The next stop was the gopher fields right below my house and I commenced to put the hurt on 20 or so. Let me tell you, the Nielson slugs pack a wallop! Gophers have an uncanning knack of getting back in their holes after being shot. Not so with the slugs! I’m super impressed with them and looking forward to a lot more fun as it’s haying season now and they can no longer hide from me or the Taipan. These two were taken on the same hole at 40 yards.
