Dont ya just hate...

Yup, we all have our priorities and yours sound spot on. Sorry to hear of your accident (OUCH!) and hope you overcome it all soon.

Every summer the addiction whispers how much more airgun money I would have if I just rented out my house and slept in a tent in the back yard. Although at times tempted I have not been able to get myself to do it yet so I can't have all the stuffs I want either.

Totally sympathize.

ten days ago I had the first part of a dental implant done. Oral surgeon took 2700.oo of my airgun money just for that part. now its a 12 week wait for that step to heal and then the fake tooth goes on. Dunno yet what that’ll take out of the savings.

hang tight, itll heal, and you’ll be better off in the long run......

Happens to all of us. Dad passed away last fall (94, lived a full life, he was happy to go!), since then, managed the estate, coordinated 5 moves (sister, 3 kids, me and wife), daughter got married, bought the house out of the estate, now have to fix all the stuff dad wouldn't let me touch when he was alive like furnace, air conditioner, water heater, roof is coming, etc, etc. Haven't fired a shot in 6 months. Now with Covid, the public ranges are closed, All gets in the way of shooting.

However, I'd rather have all those problems than a broken jaw. A broken jaw is just brutal. Sit tight and heal.  It'll all come together before long (I hope!)

Wow you got a full plate for sure!

Yep those medical bills are enormous. Last year, just about this time, I had to have a new drug to cure my Hep C. To make the story short, the Hep C virus was killed, but it cost $80,000 for 84 pills. Thank goodness for insurance and a special foundation which helped with the bills.

Shalom

John

Yup insurance paid $100,000 for mine but if I was in India, Mexico etc it would only cost $1000 for the same thing. It's really ridicules that big pharma can get away with this especially when people die if they don't get the drugs.

What drug did they use on you? I took Epclusa and it wasn't too bad. Felt weak as heck, but nothing like what those poor people used to have to go through taking Ribavarin and Interfuron. In those cases the cure was almost as bad as the disease .... in many cases the doctors had to take the patient off the drugs or it would have killed them and the cure rate was nothing to write home about. I just got back from the hospital yesterday after taking a Ultrasound, liver panel and ALP test. Haven't got the results back yet ... say a prayer for me if you are so inclined.

Sorry. That’s doesn’t sound very pleasant. Unfortunately I can relate. About 15 years ago I had surgery on my lower jaw. Both sides. For 8 very long and painful weeks my jaws were wired shut. Had to eat everything through a straw. And I mean everything. You can only eat so much ice cream, smoothies and pudding. My mother was a saint and keep me well feed and made some surprisingly appetizing meals for me while I recovered. My mother makes a mean lasagna and no way would I ever miss out on it. I’m telling ya, you just haven’t lived until you’ve eaten a puréed lasagna. it’s actually not as bad as it sounds. hope you’re getting better

Lol! Your dentist got 2 guns. My dentist is a gold digger. So was the last one. And the one before him.

At least you're not like I was when we had mandated twice price Obamacrap Obamacare. I broke my heel and Obamacrap paid $0. A month later one of our sons cracked his wrist. Again Obamacrap paid $0. You can keep your doctor!....... If you can still afford him

Cost me way more than an airgun. too
