Stopped by our permission last night and popped a few more rats. Over 40 total now in the past 2 weeks. One of the smaller ones took the 44.75 grain pellet through the skull and literally blew his head off! Snapping sound was loud!

I sometimes use my .30 Boss with 44.75s to hunt squirrels, which I love to eat. You need to be really particular where you hit them. A head shot is the only option because a body shot, even if you don't hit innards the blood damage to the meat is enough reason to reject it as good table fare.
