Don't Confuse Your Chrony!

Don't use your Chronograph under fluorescent lights! The 60-cycle flicker will confuse the 2 sensors on your Chrony...use incandescent or daylight illumination only.

During daylight hours, I kill the fluorescent lighting in my indoor range and allow daylight to illuminate my shooting station...then I get reliable FPS results!

I've noticed a LOT more errors when the fluorescents are on and I'm using my IR system vs. using the IR system alone. But, wow, what a difference the IR system makes! So much more reliable and no more worrying if there's enough light or not.

I have used my IR screens with fluorescent lighting above for a couple years now with only 1 error. Just an estimate, but I would guess I have put 10,000 or more pellets over my pro chrono with IR screens.

I've used mine with fluorescent lighting in another part of my basement and led over the sensors, no errors, but it will read lower than it will outside. Turn off all the lights except the led lights and it works fine.
