Donny FL tuning

Thinking my Donny FL Sumo might benefit from some additional material in the tube, and see it mentioned on AoA product description: 

• Customizable, you can further dampen the sound by wrapping the interior tube with different sound absorbing materials.

What materials are you applying, how, and is it worth the effort ? I was thinking 3 & 1 oil and 90 weight ball bearings, but the bearings are hard to find.

Felt, foam rubber (from hair curlers), etc.. Didn't understand your "3in1" oil or ball bearing comment, for sound dampening? Please clarify.

Turn down the air volume on each shot cycle. Biggest single reduction in sound levels.

An old trick in sound dampening technology is the use of gels. Lithium grease was once commonly used in suppressors. In manufacturing, sound-absorbing polymers are used in many building products.

Think of it as throwing a ball against a wall if the wall absorbs the impact with little to no vibration. The sound is absorbed, and the ball drops rather than bounces.
