Does your head spin?

Noob to this level of airguns. I have been scouring the WTS PCP's and learned you can spend crazy amounts of money on airguns. I started looking at retailers sites....just so much!
I enjoy shooting and it is so nice to be able to shoot in my neighborhood backyard.
My big question is....how do I figure out what I need and can you try out different types of brands and models anywhere local?
I would like to be able to hunt squirrels and nuisance animals. Plink/target. I have easy access to SCBA compressor and cascade.
I am thinking .22 or .25 and around $500 to get started.
Any suggestions?

This is where I am now.... 🤣
I like the umarex gauntlet 30sl. Moderator(have no idea on the best fit). Working on my SCBA bottle/valve plan. I will fill myself. Add the Terminator G-Tac stock. I think this is a good set up for me. What do y'all think?
0db 160 and STO Sarissa are the ones that work best in my G30

This is really simple. Cabela's/Bass Pro and Academy have the Crosman 3622 kit with pump for around $250. Super light, fun to shoot, accurate enough and power enough for squirrels and rabbits. And the rifle is little, light in weight and gets 24 shots at 16 fpe out of the box.

The other no brainer is the Gamo Urban. Made in UK, shoots like a laser. Mine runs CPHP into the same hole at 20 yards and will shoot 20 shots at an average of 26 fpe, low 24 and high 28 on a Bell curve. Out of the box it did 30+ shots at 22 fpe. The Urban is very accurate, compact, not too heavy to carry and just feels good shooting.
