Does FX Impact regulator location make a difference.

I have a MK1 and am wondering if a alteros reg coñnected to the bottle would work vs replacing the internal reg. I would think setting the stock reg higher than the Alteros would work. I'm not sure how the gas plumbing would work or not work with this setup.

Anyone input would be appreciated!

If you can set them up as in the Maverick I think it will work well.

So if i install an Alteros on my bottle, the reg on the bottle set at 110 bar, my internal reg set at 120 bar he pressure should be 110 bar right. I believe the Alteros would be more consistent than the stock reg. 

Am I right or missing something?

Will work for sure... the question is, it will make a gun shoot any better? Not sure, try it let us know.

Right now .30 exacts 50.15 gr 25 yds 5 shot ragged hole at 835 to 840 fps. But I have it set at 150 bar and maxed on settings. Hoping to get it.a little more efficient on air and.possibly pish the pellet a little faster. Can I get any better tuning adding the reg?

get the power plenum if it doesn't have it. that will allow you to lower the pressure on the regulator and still keep good speed. this will also allow the shot count to go up and you'll have more air between a full fill and the reg set point.

Did you do shoot over chrony, what is the ES over the whole fill? Not saying you wrong but maybe you fixing something that isn't broken?

Chrono 835 -842. I just shot the two red groups at 25 yds. You might be dead on.

I think if you just tune it, you good, I wouldn't add second regulator.

I do not own .30 cal but someone else will confirm shoot count and if you wasting air.

If you’re running the stock plenum and the stock porting , this is going to limit both the power output and efficiency. Replacement valve seats are available on EBay and the plenums are available through most FX dealers. For now it looks like you’re maxed out and that’s going to take a lot of air.

Yup, I have a MK1. Next step is a power plenum and .30 transfer port. 

I didn't buy he alteros, but that would have been a good experiment.

Put a PP, Huma DTP, slug kit and if your reg works good, you'll be fine
I get 90 shots from 240-110 bar at 58 fpe, with 700 mm barrel
