Yes, I have lubed mine for a year or so but cannot tell you if it creates any more or less accuracy. I read that it helps keep some lubricant in the barrel to ward off any bad effects of moisture from the guns storage time. Not much help on that question i guess.
I tried lubing as a experiment along with wax and saw no improvement in accuracy with any of my pcp's or springers, so it's not something I would do anymore.
below some samples, I don't have any of my rainstorm 3d, theoben rapid, fx400 or airwolf but I can assure you they are equally accurate. once I zero my rifles for 20 yards, I'll shoot groups out from 10 to80+ yards, after that it's all about one shot accuracy. at 50 yards on a windy day mrod bsa r10 mk2 hw100 s510 20 yard shoot off
I shoot FT and wash my crossmans then lube with FP-10. JSBs just lube. probably 90 % of FT shooters, that I have spoken to, lube (PCP). this tells me something. springers I don't know.
I wash the pellets to get rid of the small lead flecks and the ... well not sure what it is they come coated with. I lube to stop the lead oxidising afterwards.
Does it work? Is it necessary? Don't know, I feel better doing it though!
