Does anyone know what size threads are used on the new Hatsan QE models.

The barrels and threads are the same as always. I had a non-QE model converted to QE and the only change is a shroud over the barrel and a 14mm nut to connect the shroud to the barrel itself. I've tested the difference in sound by removing the shroud and using my screw on LDC to see the difference. So if you've made LDCs for non-QE models they will fit the new models.

Black diesel I had a customer take his end cap of his QE and show me the picture, the threads were much larger than on the regular Hatsans and they were female on the shroud, not male, are you removing the complete shroud? Not sure where you used the 14mm nut, the Hatsan has 1/2 inch x 20 threads. My customers want to retain the factory shroud and add an LDC to it, I guess if they intended to remove the shroud they would have just purchased a regular Hatsan, Neil.

Thanks Blackdiesel that explains clearly what you were saying, the problem is my customers do not want to replace the factory shroud they want something that will screw into the end of it in place of the factory end cap. They might as well have purchased a regular Hatsan for less money if they were intending to remove the shroud and add an LDC. For some reason Hatsan would not disclose what size threads are used on the shroud? Neil.

"pheelgood"I can send you the end cap of mine once it's back from Hatsan if that will help.
Pheelgood I appreciate the offer but I hate to have customers send me small parts just in case they get lost in transit. I would feel terrible if someone mailed me a part to try and help me and ended up losing their part. You don't have any calipers or thread gauges? It should not be difficult to measure them and is a lot safer than shipping a small part in the mail, Neil.
