I can say the same is true for any collection of misfit toys with a touch of the tism like I would argue we all have here. It's a very specific personality type. The same is true with my radio hobby. One day the group fell apart in a really negative way after 17 years.

Yes... very eclectic types for sure... but with the average age group, also ornery and cranky..haha

Oh God yes !!! Love the yellow!!!! Russell Best he was a open book on airguns!! Then the Gentleman from Australia he did the slow motion videos of his pellets hitting targets from long distances....and of who remember Sgt. Johns gun room....and then the guy from the Philippines who took a lot of guys money but never got a gun. I believe a guy even flew to the Philippines to chase the guy down .....

yep.. I recall all that... and in fact, was one of the ones who paid a down payment on a Caiman airgun and didnt get anything... and also one of the few here in the states who had one in hand. Was sent to me for a review. At the time, I was doing quite a lot of reviews on airguns. Was a beautiful gun that tank dumped on me the very first shot so I never actually got to shoot it. Sent it on to the owner at his request instead of back to Filarms.

I had run out of luck. Already had gotten a gun built by one guy who ended up skipping down with a bunch of folks money... mine was the last delivered. Also ended up with a couple of stocks by a J. Linthicum who after making mine, skipped town and eventually ended up in prison.

I really liked Russ he was one of the most helpful guys in air gunning. The Yellow and Fun Supply were really good honest straight forward and helpful forums even though they did get a little rough at times. Was sad to see the Yellow turned into AGW as its no ways near the forum it was.
