I got one a month ago and the mate came back a few times. After that never saw a Crow for days.

Such a sad story. Heartbreaking in the extreme. *Snif* Oh well.
Crows are indeed monogamous and mate for life. Once a crow has found the perfect partner for themselves, they mate for life and spend this time raising their young together. The male will help feed, protect, and incubate the eggs for about two months which both parents share parental care.

Nice rifle. Since I opted for the HW98 because the TX200HC LH Walnut was back ordered indefinitely, I can still look forward to owning one.
Good job. One less mated pair, probably a dozen less crows to harass the Owls and Ospreys. Every spring I have to protect the local crop of Ospreys from the flocks of crows. I have zero issue widowing a crow.
Don't get me wrong. I think crows have their place. It just isn't killing baby Opsreys or terrifying my Owl friends. Kinda like qball's Coopers.

Cornpone 98 all day long. The TX200 could easily be my favourite of my rifles, but I have a tough time loading, breach is too small for my fingers, I have .22. Couldn’t imagine loading .177. Even the LGU is a little bigger and enough to make the difference. Nicest looking gun out of box.
My 98 is an absolute favourite as well my LGU. I’m only shooting max. 40 yds. for targets and Varmints. Crow

Thanks for the kind replys gentlemen. Those two crows were fairly young (I think) and I got them about 5 minutes apart. At one point I did have my rifle up for sale and now I'm glad that it didn't sell. I never shot it last year, but I will make a point of taking it out with me the next time I go target shooting and check the 30 yard zero. From what I remember, I found the cocking/loading/shooting quite enjoyable with this rifle. I also remember that I don't like carrying it around for a long period of time.
