Critter collection with black bears on the prowl!!! I'd have a field day out your way. All I get is the chippers and squirrels in my yard and they have all gotten the message: you may enter the yard but you won't be leaving... great shooting again...

Yes, they need their daily lead injections for sure. I would have to agree with the above though looks like that one overdosed for sure. Greedy little things they can be.

Not to be a nag , but that doesn’t look like any mole I’ve ever seen. This has eyes. Moles are blind.

Moles make the tunnels and voles use them. Moles eat insects and grubs, voles eat plant roots and such.

Funny ( good timing )
At my friends place last week we moved a large garden pond liner that have been laying spread out on the ground, under it we found may tracks - holes and mounds of earth some a foot or so tall.
We was not sure what made those we just assumed rats, but then during the night between Monday and Tuesday someone ( assume cat ) got the better of the critter, leaving just its guts and severed head under a table in our future "shot & other stuff shed".
And it turned out it was one of these suckers too ( Arvicola amphibius AKA European water vole / Northern water vole )
And no need to clean up the mess the next night the head and guts was gone too.
To celebrate its demise, we started a bonfire and later when the sun had set we consumed quantities of alcohol, and it was a merry night worthy of any true Viking. ( no pellets was discharged even if in the video our 55 M or so berm are visible in the video. LOF is about across the fire pit and the picnic table in the back )
