Curious, what defines "Traditional" to you?
I was showing off some of my airguns to a friend the other day and caught myself referring to my HW100 and S510 as "Traditional PCPs".
Guess that I view blued steel and wood long-guns as being "Traditional" where as anodized/painted aluminum bullpups and such are "Modern".
In my (strange) mind, "Bottle-guns" like my Crown and Wolverine are kinda sandwiched in-between the Traditional and Modern categories.
Being an old guy that grew up shooting springers, I can relate to them being "Traditional" from that perspective.
The turth is that the Girardoni was made in 1779 and AFAIK it predates springers. I don't think they had the technology to make suitable springs back then.
So, based on age, are PCPs more traditional than springers?
I'm not trying to stir the pot or even wanting to change a forum name. I'm just thinking aloud here.
Cheers!
