It it just me, or do we need a budget section? It seems like everyone is pushing high end rifles which kind of makes it hard to find any info for those of us who stick to backyard plinking. I'm sure there are plenty of budget shooters out there yet I can't help but feel like we're crowded out by the more high end stuff.
I've never spent more than $200 on a rifle and never more than $50 on a scope yet I feel like I'm getting comparable performance to the more expensive stuff.
That said, yes, the higher end stuff is higher quality, but I feel like the sub $200 rifles can still give plenty of fun. I even buy pellets on the cheap, at under $0.05 per pellet, usually closer to $0.02.
Anybody else feel the same?
