RTI Do RTI barrels usually need polishing?

I just bought RTI barrels in .177, .25 (RPB), and .30. I know some of you have posted having multiple barrels. I know I will be polishing the .177 as I am hoping to slugs in it, but it made me wonder if RTI barrels usually need polished, or if you polish only if you feel it is needed.
It's usually a matter of how does it shoot, and what does it look like when you push a pellet or slug through it.

Ok I get it. I'll clean them all very well. I will push a slug down the .177 to check for tight spots and polish those spots if it does not shoot well. On the other calibers I'll only worry about them if they don't perform well. Some shooters act like they polish every barrel no matter what. I always felt more barrels were ruined by polishing and over cleaning than any other way. I usually only clean my guns when the lose accuracy, but I realize I may have to clean more often when slugs are in the mix. Appreciate the replies.-Carl
