i don’t understand how digital zooming works but.. what is preventing dnt from releasing an update that gives the option of 2-12x or 4-16x or 4-20x for the 5-20x zulus v2? since its digital and not fixed glass, it should be possible right?

I suspect the forward lens is different. Base x5 on the 5-20 and base x3 on the 3-12. The specs page @ DNT indicate fov is 8.6 yard at 100 and 14.9 at 100 respectively. The digital zoom part just segments the display ratios on your view screen. It could probably be programmed to even further digital resolution at the cost of extreme pixilation.

Screen resolution? I wish they would program for us to put our own windage values in a manual table and I wish they would (if the processor in the optic can handle it) give us a real time reticle that self adjusts for cant and elevation within a small limit. A live reticle if you will. The updates have been nice. My v1 arken zulus updates nicely.

I’ve used a Masterpiece Arms chassis on my Remington 700 build for PRS competitions. The machining quality is exceptional, and the ergonomic adjustments made it easy to fit my shooting style. I’ve found it maintains consistency even after hundreds of rounds, though it’s on the heavier side - great for stability but less ideal if you need a lightweight hunting setup. The hype is justified for precision work, but it really depends on your use case. For pure long-range accuracy, it’s hard to beat.
