DIY Uragan cheek rest and bipod rail extension

This weekend I machined a cheek rest from dymalux laminated and stabilized wood. It was supposed to have a brighter contrast with more orange, but oh well.

Also is a Picatinny rail extension made from carbon fiber tube. Very little flex, but does have some torsion to it.

I like that cheek rest and might attempt something similar on one of my Taipan Veterans after seeing yours. What are you using to secure it in place?

Just friction. The Uragan has a groove running the entire length on each side. You can see it if you look close. The cheek rest is milled to slide on from the rear. I was going to put a set screw in, but the milling was close enough that i was able to hand sand it for a friction fit.
