DIY tool to remove barrel from AAA Evol

I didn’t want to spend $100 for the tool, so I made my own yesterday. Pretty easy and works well.

Necessity is the mother of invention. I had made my own tool as well based on the single pin spanner design. It works good too. However, you cannot get the quality and non-marring features of the AAA product without a decent mill and anodizing, unless you are doing a lot of filing that is. At my request and true to his word, Tom Costan machined in the Slayer logo on the opposite side. I bought the AAA wrench just last week though I didn't "need" it, and continue to support this American engineering company.

Omg that is amazing tool you made. The owner of AAA says the diameter of the barrel removal tool in his video.
He says it's merely a crescent wrench. I would definitely buy one of those from you if you want to make one. I have PayPal and Venmo.
I agree with you: $100 is mighty expensive for a basic tool. My email is [email protected]. Thank you
That particular tool @panahunter made works with his particular early Evol because the front of the picatinny rail is shorter and does not overlap the barrel nut. It will not fit on anything else. If you have an Evol with the longer picatinny rail that overlaps the barrel then the proprietary tool or something made similar is required.
