DIY hamster, almost done

I built an adjustable butt plate for my Kral puncher breaker so needed a hamster for the fore end. I had two criteria, low weight, i managed to keep it under 250 grams and a low profile when fully closed, it closes at 45mm. Its constructed out of aluminium, two 15mm u section have four hollow square section tubes hinged on quick release bolts. The pics show it attached to a remington express. Its close to the finish design and when done i will build the final version for the Kral. I used the four square sections with two bolts to get as much grip and friction as possible from the quick release bolts. When ive finished building the final version ill post a complete strip down and more detailed explanation. Loaded it up with weights to test its grip (picture below) its about 30 lbs in weight.

i'll give a grade of A+

will it be slippery or do you have something to stop the sliding, I found some skateboard top material on Ebay that I found make I-phone cases non slippery, might work here

Thanks, i am intending to cover the underneath. My main concern was not grip but cold, the aluminium needs covering with thin rubber sheet.
