I recently purchased a 75 CU. FT. OMEGA Tank from AOA. I asked them to set me up with what I would need to get the tank filled either at a fire station or dive shop. The first Dive shop I visited only filled up to 3500 PSI and didn't have anything that could adapt to the fittings I purchased from AOA. $130.00. The second dive shop fills to 4500, just needed to see my tank to see if they could fill it. Of course they didn't need my $130.00 worth of adapters that would only work at a fire station. But this is what they had, I took a photo of it, and wished I had asked what the fitting was called. I know it has the small quick release female fitting to our tanks, and the other end is the Din fitting, that the air fill clamp clamps onto, I just thought I would share this, as other dive shops that have never filled PCP gun tanks would be able to help you out if you had this. I'm sure it would cost a lot less than the $130.00 I spent. Since there is no valve or gauges I"m sure it would come in under $50.00.
As you may notice these are the 2 types of fittings the one dive shop had, but as mentioned they only go to 3500, which does nothing for me. The other dive shop had middle photo for filling there tanks and could go 4500 psi, only $9.00 and took 5-10 minutes on my new empty tank. I just wanted to purchase one of those blocks, and I could make them, as I build plastic injection molds and can machine these. Just have to have dimensions or a model. However I'm going to be able to go to a paint ball shop, near my home that fills to 4500, this dive shop was open until 8pm, and the paintball shop was closed at 6, and closed on the next day, Saturday. So it was worth the extra miles to the dive shop, at least they told me they have customers that come in every week to get their tanks filled. I Figure the more info we can get pumped out there to our members the easier it would be to get the tanks filled. Thank you all for your reply's.
