Discovery scopes for field target?

I'm wondering if enough forum members have tried out Discovery scopes for there to be a general consensus of how well they range distances by focus for field target work?

I've only looked through one Discovery scope, it was on a friend's gun, a compact model with modest max power (guessing it was max of 9 or 12x) that would be considered more general use than field target specific.

I'm curious how some of their higher power scopes range distances for Hunter or possibly even Open class.

Thanks.

(Currently using fixed power SWFAs with the rear focus and they, surprisingly, don't do bad, just wondering if a side wheel Discovery might do better.)

Hi franklink i have a 6-24×50 discovery ffp scope. The glass is crystal clear and stays clear at all magnifications. I dont range with my scope but it is off by about 15-20 yards by my rangefinder. I guess with a wheel you could correct that. But truthfully i would be more concerned about the crosshairs and mildots/lines being so thin and light. I find them very hard to see in anything but bright conditions. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.
