DISCOVERY OPTICS ED 3-15X50 SFIR

About the tube diameter: Discovery has a HD/34mm series, but this one does have a 30mm tube. 😌

Spincity, I don’t have the scope physically, but it is very high on my list of scopes to buy during the next shopping spree...! 😉

I made a table to compare the specs* of a scopes with a magnification of 3-15x (3-16x | 4-16x | 3-18x) scopes between 300 to $500. And it checks all my boxes:

• Glass is ED, from Japan
• Min. Parallax = 10y
• Bottom end is 3x resulting in a FoV of 31.5ft @100y, which is about a 50% wider field of view as a typical 6-24x50 scope
• FFP
• Reticle with lots of hash marks and numbered for quick hold overs
• Turrets and reticle are the same (MIL/MIL)
• Turret Adjustment Range is huge = 86 MOA
• IR
• Exposed turrets
• Tube: 30mm
• Warranty is for life (bec. it’s from the ED line)

If you wanted a really tough scope, the SWFA 3-15x42 is always receiving high recommendations.

Till Monday midnight SWFA has a storewide sale, 10% off, down to $560.

❗️ Here’s the link to the comprehensive scope spec table.

In the intro it explains the practical benefits of certain features – because different shooting situations benefit from different features.

Hope you’ll be happy with the scope you’ll decide on. The airgun forums have a good saying going: “Buy once – cry once.” It’s a good one. 😊

Spincity --- I just bought my first discovery scope a while back and was so surprised by the build quality, clarity and light gathering ability, reticle, tracking, turrets, etc... I really was astonished at the quality that goes into these scopes for the price. When you pick one up, you'll notice the heft and build quality immediately. They are a little on the heavy side but most quality optics are. I purchased one of the 4-20x50 scopes with a 30mm tube from the HD line, like I just said, it was the most pleasantly surprised I've been by a scope in a long time and I have purchased or used many expensive, quality scopes over the years. I'm not proud of it, but in the past I was kind of a scope snob. That was before I was married with kids and threw money around like a dumb ass bachelor with lots of guns that needed(not really) new expensive scopes. I owned Vortex, Kahles, Sworovski, Steiner, Burris, Weaver, Leupold, Doctor, Meopta, etc... Even after using these quality optics, the glass, reticle and tracking on the Discovery scope I bought really blew me away, and for $270!!! The ED line you are looking at is a couple of steps up from the scope I bought. If the price is any indication of what you're going to get, I think it will blow your socks off. If you buy one, please let us know what you think! I for one really would like to know.

I just purchased a MKII myself. Do you have yours yet? I'm assuming we ordered them from the same place that shipped a whole bunch of them on Friday. Mine is supposed to arrive on Tuesday. What one did you buy? I got the 25 caliber in silver with the 700mm barrel. I had been looking at other guns, namely RAW and the A.T. Uragan. For me it came down to what you get for the money. The FX Impact is a tried and true platform that many, many people use and love, it's been upgraded with a 28 shot magazine, a larger plenum, better gauges and a 580cc bottle($75 upgrade), all for the same price, except for the bottle upgrade! That's just awesome! I'm having my buddy Neil Clague make me an oversized, shroud-moderator combo out of either brushed aluminum or titanium to match the silver in the gun. My boys and I like to pimp out our guns to make them individualized. The oversized silver shroud/moderator and a silver, billet aluminum, skeletonized grip will do that for me. I'm really excited and I bet you are too. If you have it already, I'd love to see a couple of pictures and hear what you think so far. I'm thinking we both bought them from UA and they were both shipped on Friday though. Have a great afternoon and good luck with your scope decision. I think you'll be extremely happy with the Discovery ED scope. I can't even express how positively surprised I was with my Discovery scope.

Hi Stoti

We did buy from the same place mine shipped Thursday received it yesterday looks great not at home right now to send a picture did the upgraded Sumo moderator mine is a 25 caliber in the silver also thanks for the input on the scope I think I'm going to order that one from Charlie today I'll let you know how that comes out in a few days when I get the scope and I'll post a picture of it then thanks again for your input that really helped to make the decision.

I got the discovery from Discovery China itself.. took them 2 months to get here, for a while I thought I got ripped and just chalk it up as lesson learned it was $232 I just check on amazon a min ago it's out of stock. VT-T 4.5-18X44 SFVF FFP I'm quite happy with it I saw Joe Rhea gave it a good review so I jump on it. It's no lightweight at 26.6 oz it has some heft to it.

Oh dude, I'm so jealous! I'm hoping there is some kind of freak shipping error, mine arrives a day early and shows up tomorrow! You certainly have good taste in guns!

I've seen great reviews of the VT-T that Farrah bought and showed us on her Wildcat, Dennis loves his and mine is awesome too. I really can't recall every hearing a bad review about one of these scopes. And boy do you get a lot for your money. I've never seen a review of the ED version or really heard much about it, so please let us know what you think and of course lets see some pics!

Farrah, I'm sure you know by now, if you plan on making any future purchases, you can get most of the Discovery scopes in about 2-3 days from Airgun Optics Plus here in the USA. Shipping is free and you can get a 10% off code for signing up for his newsletter. He's a great guy, completely legit and stands behind the products he sells!

Everyone have a great evening! Stoti
