Just curious to know if there are any aftermarket barrels out there to consider for my discovery. Haven't seen a whole lot after a short bit of research.

I am not aware of anyone offering a drop in disco barrel. However, you could pick the blank of your choice and have someone machine it for a disco. Roy at Mountain Air Customs and Jim Gaska do really good barrel work. I am sure there are others that can machine a barrel for you, but I have bought drop in barrels from both Jim and Roy and I can attest to their work.
Machining barrels for the Marauder and Discovery/Maximus is the reason I will be adding a new mill to my shop in the near future.

Will a Maximus barrel "bolt in"?
It would be interesting to compare Disco/Maximus barrel and custom.
Of course I am sure some of the Crosman barrels are better than others, the opposite also likely to be true.
One advantage of a custom barrel is that it could be made long enough to prevent the LDC/Foster fill fitting from interference

According to Chip, the barrel on the Maximus is different than the Discovery, but I haven't read what is different about it...other than length.
