Disadvantage to Aluminum or Titanium Air Cylinders?

The Huben K1 has a Titanium airtube. It's about 2mm thick and handles 5000PSI fills. Don't know what titanium alloy they used there are several. Also don't know if it is produced from tubing or round bar machined out?

But in answer to your question no drawbacks as far as Ti but as for the aluminum it will surely be much thicker than steel or Ti.

I have a mutant .22 and a veteran .25. I just now tried to get a magnet to stick to the air tubes. Nope, not steel. Would say aluminum, since they are not advertised as ti . If they were ti, it would be a good selling point, so I think they would let it be known. To me steel would have the disadvantage of being prone to rust if hand pumped or even scuba filled. From what my scuba shop tells me very dry air is not a priority for breathing air. I have already lost one steel scuba tank to corrosion . It failed annual inspection only 5 years from new.
