Tuning Digital valves

Have not heard much about the digital gauges with exception of people that have then like them. Someone complained about the battery life on the Sekhmet though.

Hi guys, please allow me to introduce you our new digital gauge, rechargeable, waterproof, one-touch key, accurate, $65 now;)
only 25mm diameter with long lasting power.

I have the EMU gauge and it’s cool and all but I actually don’t like it because I have to find a free hand to push the button which isn’t easy to do. I probably will go back to the factory gauge so I can check the pressure with a quick glance. Too fancy for its own good, AMP regulator on my impact has been so solid I haven’t even bothered to turned on the digital gauge for months so it’s just an expensive plug right now.

In perception yes, it reads out in 0.1 bar increments but in reality I doubt it. In the end as long as my POI doesn’t change what difference does it make besides lighten my wallet a bit.
Well, by reading down to 0.1 bar they may be more precise, but not necessarily more accurate. None of these gauges are calibrated, so it’s impossible to tell if they are truly accurate (i.e. reading out the exact correct pressure). However I think that for the purposes you list above, i.e. keeping your POI the same, what’s more important is that they are consistent. While this is also true of the analog gauges, I find it difficult on some of them (FX Wildcat BT, I am looking at you) to tell what the reading is, much less to be able to set things to the same amount every time. The digital gauges make that much easier.

Yup, easier to read is about all there is except finding a free hand to press the button is annoying as hell! LOL! I usually just adjust mine to 155 ish and call it good, found no need to be that precise. Fine tuning is done by HS preload and valve if on an impact. Just because it is not easy to press the button I don’t bother to read it so kidda defeated it’s purpose but that’s just me. When I first got the digital gauge I was trying to be exact but what a waste of time that was.
