Results DIFTA Match Report Sunday September 7th 2025

The match started out cloudy with a brief period of drizzle; the sun broke through mid-match and brought highly variable winds, gusting up to around 8 mph, which were worse towards the end of the course on lanes 10-12. Depending on their starting lane some shooters escaped this, while others had a more challenging match. Temperatures started in the high 60s and climbed to the high 70s by the match end. Another match with no target malfunctions, but a couple of splits which were easily resolved.

The average course difficulty was 29.73, with two pesky 3/8” and two ½” kill zones, and ten targets at > 40 yards. Scores were closely grouped with the top scorers in each division leading the ‘rest of the pack’ just a few points. Hunter Division was the best represented, with the match high score going to Justin Hess.

Thanks to Paolo for help with setting up the match, to multiple shooters who arrived early and help run strings, and who stayed behind to take down the course, and as always, many thanks to those who travel long distances to compete and keep our sport alive. Mark Mayer acted as match Director.

The next match at DIFTA will be held on Saturday October 4th

Decimal scores are added to the match score and used as tiebreakers; they are calculated as additional 10ths for hits on Standing lanes and 100ths for hits on Kneeling lanes; clearing both forced position lanes would give a decimal score of .66.

Always a great course that wind plays a big factor in.
