My hunting trip is simple my rifle and some pellets. Initial cost $280. The PCP guys alot $$$. Results pretty much the same results.

Different strokes indeed. That’s why for my Airgun needs/wants I choose.....both. Any of my PCPs are capable of going on a several day hunt with just one charge (unless I’m fighting off Walking Dead ninja squirrels) 50-60 shots per fill is plenty.
Yes, expensive, but it’s a hobby and a choice, so I pay to play.
I choose the higher end Spring guns because of bad experiences with the lower end guns. They just don’t do it for me. But, I do love hearing from folk that love their lower end spring guns.
In the end different strokes for different folk. I just enjoy the sport, camaraderie, and learning from each other.

I will tell you this. This. This airgun forum is friendly. I belong to a couple of others. Won't mention names. Some of the people are kind of rude and many of the PCP crowd are elleatest basically telling you Springers suck and are not capable to hunt with.

I was hunting with my Blue Stream .20 before most of them where born and PCP was non existent.

I commend you all!!!!

I was surprised to find my tuned R1 .22 sends JSB 25.39’s right where I want. Enough power to hit dead on at 30 and flatten them out 1/2 way. No petals or anything spectacular but surprisingly great accuracy that I haven’t seen consistently from JSB 18.13’s since black & grey tins went away. Thought I was gonna have to use nothing but H&N FTT 5.53’s Only.

It is a Hatsan 125 vortex I usually shoot the H& N 30.86 pellets or the 31 grizzlies. I don't have a crono but have tested it on my friend's. They advertise it at 850 fps but mine averaging 770 to 790 consistently. I think the pellets shoot a little better but the grizzlies hit really hard. I don't use a scope. No tight little groups but can hit soup can at 40 yards 3-4 out of five times. I've tried some lighter pellets and they actually shoot a bit better but the heavy ones in my opinion are better if your hunting.
